Laura Jackson is Registered Physiotherapist and native of Barrie who graduated from McMaster University in 2015.

In 2009, Laura graduated Highest Honours with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Carleton University. At Carleton she balanced her studies with her role as assistant captain of the Varsity Womanís Hockey Team. In between degrees, she worked in Brain Injury Rehabilitation in Toronto.

Laura has taken several special interest courses including: concussion therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, falls prevention, cancer rehabilitation, and functional movement screening. Additionally, Laura has experience as a Physiotherapist in the hospital and post-surgical settings.

Her treatments are patient-centered and care is taken to consider the patientís individual goals. Her assessments include special tests and the analysis of movement patterns to diagnose the cause of pain and dysfunction. Lauraís treatments include manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, therapeutic taping, return to activity planning, and targeted exercise prescription.

In her spare time Laura enjoys spending time at the cottage and watching hockey. On a Saturday you could find her in the garden or browsing the local health food store.
